Evélise Alicea is a creative at heart finding her way back to the arts; after two decades of navigating, surviving, and thriving in spite of unpredictable life obstacles; she persistently achievied one of her goals of becoming a midwife to serve her community with special attention to Black and brown birthing persons. Working as a registered nurse throughout the pandemic, Evélise saw the importance of healing and mental health on the frontlines and believes art is a magical modality for healing that transcends all boundaries.
